MORE ABOUT ME

ASU Academic Career
I graduated magna cumme laude from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University in May of 2022. While at Arizona State, I graduated with honors degrees in both Accounting and Marketing. In order to obtain honors in these degrees, I participated in the Founders Lab, a honors thesis project consisting of developing, marketing, and communicating a business plan aimed at helping small businesses thrive. While at Arizona State, I worked with ASU Student Life as a social media manager and photographer. During this time, I was responsible for managing the social media channels and working with other departments to help market the opportunities available to students for everything from housing to sports engagement. I am a lifetime member of Beta Alpha Psi Honorary Accounting Organization which promotes and engages with accounting and finance students in order to promote camaraderie and further the accounting profession. I was also a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity which had the highest GPA of any social fraternity on campus for the duration of my involvement.
Work Experience
As mentioned above, I was employed as a Sun Devil Storyteller for ASU working with Student Life, part of the Educational Outreach and Student Services Department. In this position, I work with a team of photographers, videographers, and journalists, making social media posts and stories on all things important to students and their experience at ASU. I was in charge of creating engaging content that informs students of the opportunities available to them, as well as directing attention to the weekly newsletter which is published on the ASU Student Life website. In the first 3 months I worked for ASU Student Life, our Instagram page grew from 5,000 to 6,500 followers with increased engagement across the board.

I have also worked closely with Peanut Butter Americano, a local peanut butter company from Phoenix, Arizona. I worked with PBA from 2016-2018. While there, I worked as an independent contractor selling at farmers markets across the Phoenix area. Additionally, I have worked in the office as an office assistant and product manager. This has included labeling products, preparing products for shipping and distribution, and a few financial accounting projects. I was involved with our social media marketing campaign. You can see more on my "Portfolio and Campaign" page.

INTERNSHIPS
I have participated in 4 internships, 3 while I was attending ASU and 1 immediately after graduation. While at ASU, I participated in a tax internship with Villanueva and Company, a local tax firm in Phoenix. During this internship, I was responsible for tax return preparation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. In addition to my tax internship in 2021-2022, I participated in 2 internships both in social media and video media creation. I have worked with Peanut Butter Americano on social media marketing campaigns both as an intern and then subsequently as a part-time employee while in school. This has involved creating media, as well as strategies, to increase online sales through the use of social media. I was able to help boost social media presence that Peanut Butter Americano had in place to transform them, ultimately resulting in winning the First Bank "Good Business" grant of $20,000.
I have also worked with Zig Ziegler, the RunningFitnessCoach, to create video media to be used on social media. I used video to create short clips of his talk radio show on ESPN Radio that will be used on social media platforms.
I started my professional career after graduation in January of 2023 at Ernst and Young in Phoenix, Arizona. At EY, I had participated in an assurance internship prior to being hired full time as an assurance staff. During my time at EY, I worked in both the assurance and IT risk fields for the public and private sector. I have served clients in the entertainment, real estate, healthcare, and life sciences industries gaining experience over different accounting and financial reporting standards.
As an external auditor, I was responsible for assessing and reviewing company's financial statements and disclosures. In addition to the financial statement review, I assisted with reviewing and testing internal controls for both public SOX compliant companies such as HP and smaller private companies. I also assisted with ensuring companies were compliant with all applicable industry reporting standards.
In addition to my assurance position, I am currently a freelance writer for Relentless Beats, a music production company in Phoenix, Arizona. In this position, I write news articles and promotional materials for upcoming events, new releases, and other industry news.

High School Career
I graduated from Brophy College Preparatory in 2018 with Honors. While I was at Brophy, I was involved in the National Honors Society, Key Club, and Swim and Dive. I was inducted into the National Honors Society in 2015 and continued throughout my Brophy career to excel in the honors and Advanced Placement courses. My greatest contribution was through the swim team. Brophy has a long-standing tradition of excellence, who had won the last 26 Arizona Swim and Dive State meets when I was a freshman! I was a 4-year varsity member and qualified for the state meet 3 of my 4 years. I placed 5th in the 100-yard breaststroke senior year which was one of my greatest contributions to the team. I was able to continue the tradition that Brophy Swim and Dive has created and helped the Broncos win our 30th state meet my senior year. Additionally, while at Brophy I attended Kairos 156, a week-long Ignatian spiritual retreat. I was then chosen and had the honor of leading this retreat K160, inspiring many others to continue this tradition.
